![]() Also the night we had food delivered, we thought it would be set up by staff for candlelight dinner like stated on their website but this may also not have been done currently due to covid. There may have been more places available to deliver there but when you’re not from the area, you don’t know what restaurants are good without a recommendation. And more restaurants offered for delivery through the resort-there were only 2. Also the bed had some sort of weird, squishy mattress pad under the sheets on the top half of the bed so the mattress definitely could have been better. Complaints would be that the spa tub was not spotless (which is kind of a big deal because it is one of the selling points of these cabins)and looked old with some paint peeling off. This place would be beautiful to visit in the fall or winter also, with the fireplace and spa tubs in the cabins. The horse drawn carriage to the cabin would have been a nice touch, especially in winter, but was not being offered currently due to Covid. We had never been anywhere quite like it and was great for a walk for a few hours in beautiful floral, landscaped and wooded setting. ![]() Also visited a very cute place, Friendship Botanic Garden. We did go to a couple beaches since it’s so close to Lake Michigan, only about 15-20 minutes. Could definitely stay here without leaving at all for a few days due to the food delivery and private butler door. Loved the butler door to communicate with staff and little treats for dessert every night and delivery of food for continental style breakfast. Bikes available to ride around the property. Everything about this place caters to couples and privacy. A little road noise in some locations on the property but not bad at all. The location is very private and naturally beautiful, surprising since it’s right next to the highway. The cabin was quite dark which would be ok in winter I guess. The cabins with upper level windows would be nice to let in more natural light but still be private. We would have liked to book a premium cabin with a door on the bathroom and other upgrades but there were only a couple cabins left available. We stayed in the Safari cabin which was on the creek, nice setting off the deck in back. The entrance is a little hidden and hard to find to check in but after that we knew where we were going. It was a little pricy, more expensive than hotels anyway, but we felt it was worth it because it was the experience and romantic location we were looking for rather than just a place to stay. We would definitely return for another stay but would try a different cabin. I found this place searching online for cabins and am glad I did. We had a wonderful long weekend here to celebrate our 26th anniversary. For me, this image is very serene, calm, and peaceful. These stitches remind me of the water dropping or falling through the waterfall to gather in a pool at the bottom. ![]() I wanted to relive this feeling with this design, so I chose to use tall stitches turned on their side to resemble knit dropped stitches. Imaging strolling through the woods to reach your favorite destination, an awesome waterfall.
